Annual Patient Safety and Healthcare Quality Improvement Conference

Qualis Health, Saint Luke’s Health System and Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center are pleased to announce the Annual Patient Safety and Healthcare Quality Improvement Conference on April 15 and 16, 2010 at the Doubletree Riverside Hotel in Boise. As in previous years, the Qualis Health Awards of Excellence in Healthcare Quality will be presented to providers in various categories who have made significant contributions through innovative, measurable improvements in healthcare. This year’s award categories are Patient Safety, Quality Improvement, Health Information Technology, Patient- and Family-Centered Care and Improving Communication. Topics to be considered include, but are not limited to, medication safety, infection prevention, MRSA, surgical safety and the implementation of tools such as error reporting, root cause analysis and proactive risk assessment that demonstrate measurable results. Applicants for the Award of Excellence may choose to present their work via a poster presentation or oral presentation. The Award Committee will select candidates to present during the afternoon breakout sessions on April 15th, 2010. The application for the Awards of Excellence in Healthcare Quality may be accessed on the Qualis Health Website at http://www.qualishealth.org/qualityaward/id-conference.cfm. Award applications must be received by Qualis Health no later than January 8, 2010. Applicants requesting to present their work will be notified by January 30, 2010 of the Committee’s decision.
