Under new rules, the Office of Civil Rights (“OCR”) must impose penalties of $10,000 to $50,000 for HIPAA violations resulting from willful neglect. The OCR has already imposed fines in excess of $1,000,000 against violators. To make matters worse, health care providers have an affirmative obligation to report privacy breaches to affected residents and HHS. This program will provide a checklist of items managers need to do to facilitate HIPAA compliance and avoid HIPAA fines.
In addition to the live webinar, Mr. Stanger has also developed a recorded staff training that is available for purchase. Upon completion of your regsitration for this training, IHCA-ICAL will send a copy of the training to your facility.

Training begins at 1:00pm on Wednesday, April 11. This portion of the training is intended for individuals who have already completed the IHCA-ICAL Assisted Living Administrator Course, but have either not passed the Headmasters exam or would like to have additional in-person guidance prior to taking the exam. No CEUs are awarded for this half day of the training.
Training begins at 9:00am on both April 12th & 13th. This portion of the training is for all registered attendees, including licensed administrators attending the training as a refresher course.
