Staff Profile
Robert Vande Merwe
Robert was hired as the Executive Director of IHCA-ICAL in January 2001. He has an MBA from the University of Utah and an B.S. in Psychology and a Gerontology Certificate also from the University of Utah. He was an administrator of a skilled nursing facility in Eastern Idaho for four years where he served on the Board of Directors for IHCA-ICAL and presented at the Convention. Robert also worked in assisted living for three years.
Angie Graves
Angie has been the office manager for IHCA-ICAL since 2005. She has managed the books for a wide variety of businesses, most recently a property management company. She is excited to help organize meetings and learn how she can assist our members.
Jill Rice
Jill was hired by the IHCA-ICAL as the Education Coordinator in June 2007. She has a Master of Health Science degree in Health Promotion and a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from Boise State University; a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Boise State University and is a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Idaho. Previous to working for IHCA-ICAL, she was a Research Assistant at the Center for the Study of Aging at Boise State University.
Danette Hunt
Danette joined IHCA-ICAL in February 2009. She graduated from Boise State University with a BBA in General Business Management in 1996. For the last 14 years, Danette has enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom, and with her husband, raising two children. She has experience in a variety of areas, but most recently has spent numerous hours volunteering and working for her children’s schools. She is excited to join the IHCA-ICAL team and learn how she can assist our membership.
Nicole Russell
Nicole first joined IHCA-ICAL as a student intern during the summer of 2011. She was then hired on full-time as Membership Services Coordinator in December of 2011 to assist with education coordination and other member services. Nicole graduated from Boise State University with a degree in Health Education and Promotion in 2011.
